NAN Arquitectos designed this unique place dedicated to the world of cycling, where lighting plays a key role in enhancing the beauty and functionality of the space.
Inspired by the shape of a velodrome, the architects structure the entire shop from the central area, occupied by a large piece of furniture that acts as a counter and display space. Made from a metallic material, as a nod to the predominant material used to make bicycles, this unit is accompanied by an opening in the false ceiling, in which the bare ceiling slab is shown, and by a suspended light fitting capable of adapting to the particular shape of the furniture.
This central luminaire was created by combining Curve Create modules, our modular decorative lighting system, the only one capable of giving designers the freedom they need to create the ideal shape for every occasion.
The rest of the lighting is carefully designed to focus directly on the product on the shelves, creating an immediate attraction to the display area.
As a small space, where everything is precisely measured, the use of profiles from our UltraSlim series has allowed the lighting to be easily integrated into the furniture with an aesthetically pleasing finish and professional colour rendering, ideal for product lighting.
The play of reflections that is achieved helps to create that dynamism and sensation of speed typical of a velodrome which, in combination with the continuous grey concrete floor and the natural metallic tones, manages to homogenise the whole space of the shop so that the product on display takes centre stage.
"To achieve attractive interiors, it is important to carefully choose the right lighting. The solutions offered by Tecsoled allow us to achieve this objective, which is not always easy to achieve, but which contributes greatly to creating the perfect atmosphere."
