IVE has been awarded the German Design Award 2024 in the ‘Excellent Product Design’ category.
The German Design Awards, presented by the German Design Council, are one of the most prestigious international design awards in the world. Since 2012, they have been honoring exceptional submissions in product design, communication, and architecture. Their history, participation standards, and strict criteria for selecting winners make them a benchmark in the industry. For us, being able to say that IVE, developed entirely by Tecsoled, is deserving of such recognition, is a source of immense pride.
The IVE luminaire has been created according to the mathematical formula of the superellipses, with smooth lines and its own distinctive touch. This model has been inspired by the designer Jony Ive, after whom it is named.
The edges of the IVE luminaire adopt what is known as continuity of curvature, replacing right angles and simple rounded corners.
The application of the mathematical formula of superellipses to the design of the edges results in a different pattern of light, which is distributed and reflected evenly over the surface of the luminaire.
This same softness in the curve applied to the diffuser leads to a wider illumination and a more sophisticated aesthetic.
