ÁGORA-BOGOTÁ is a convention centre that has been designed to rise to the level of a public building combined with the imagination of all of its citizens. It offers an image that represents the aspirations of a transforming society, committed to the sensitive environmental concerns of the present, while being able to meet the specific requirements of any event.

The illuminated façade is the key piece of the complex. A skin that surrounds all spaces uses subtle lighting to add texture, standing out from the environment, but accompanying the sombreness of its core materials. The lights are housed in a substructure that also contains large windows and electronically controlled openings to take in fresh air.

The interior is organised around four large circulation centres that house not only the services but also the technical areas that make ÁGORA-BOGOTÁ such a versatile place for meetings and activities.
The corridors allow the building to be conceived as an encapsulated fragment of the city using lighting and architectural elements as connectors of spaces. The light emerges from the elements that serve as transition zones, adapting to their shapes, their long distances and their technical needs.
The use of a highly protected lighting, such as Silicone Neon Strips, manages to fully respect the structure that will serve as the base, without compromising the wear of the product over time.
The special 50-meter diffusers, in addition to facilitating installation, offer a vision which reinforces the concept of infinite lines, reminiscent of the streets of Bogotá city, achieved through the scale and complexity of the building.
